how to choose the right dry-cabinet

1、according to the application

In terms of the oven used as a tool in the workshop and the user who opens the cabinet door several times a day, using space dry-cabinet will cause several problems: as the dry-box is not used as an empty box by users, moisture absorbed by goods like IC and other items is still exhausted constantly, i.e. adding the humidity inside the dehumidifier, even adopting the products which can reduce the humidity within 6 hours. What’s more, the humidity may also change, so that the dehumidification time may be longer according to the type and quantity of goods ranging. Obviously, it can’t meet the requirements of the workshop production. Therefore, this kind of dry-cabinet is not suitable for the storage of workshop tools.

2、according to the reliability

As the dehumidifier for long-term storage needn’t open frequently, the machine’s durability. will be cut down because they will no longer start for a long time once the humidity inside dropped to the fixed values. Therefore, manufacturer’s own condition should be considered as one aspect of the reliability.

3、according to the anti-ESD requirements

 It is known widely that static is harm to the electronic components. Higher is the humidity of the environment, more serious is the damage. Therefore, stainless steel cabinet or the anti-ESD type is the best choise for storing IC which requires the ultra-low humidity environment below RH10%.                           

In addition, there are two kinds of anti-ESD powder coating : anti-ESD paint and anti-ESD resin. The paint has various colors and can cover the welding marks by cream, which looks beautiful but with poor wear resistance., while resin’s color is simple but with wear resistance. Considering the workshop environment and the long-term use, it is suitable to select anti-static resin products.

4、according to the level of control preciseness

(1) digital circuit products with an electronic humidity sensor, a digital hygrometer, a CPU, and memory. It is reliable and accurate.

(2) part-digital hybrid circuit products based on the analog circuit, which using electronic humidity sensor and digital humidity hygrometer without CPU and memory. the feature of the kind of dry-box is multiple LED-display, but it can not be set precisely. It is not as reliable and accurate as the former.
